There are very successful fund raising plans that have resulted in gathering millions of dollars. The first step is to have a plan based on some kind of strategy. There are some groups that have sold candy bars and others that have held car washes staffed by lots of young kids. Other plans use a political candidate to attract money to a campaign. The students who want to go to perform in the band for a special occasion would be logical recruits for that fund raiser.
